Leadership Salkehatchie provides participants with an opportunity to enhance their leadership skills while becoming aware of and involved with community dynamics and issues facing the Salkehatchie region. With a diverse cohort, the program cultivates a comprehensive perspective, essential for understanding the increasingly complex challenges and opportunities facing the region.

The Leadership Salkehatchie program provides comprehensive training designed to empower participants and cultivate regional progress.

Meeting Schedule: Sessions are held monthly in various locations throughout the Salkehatchie region, as well as on the University of South Carolina’s Columbia campus.

Leadership Salkehatchie participants are identified through nominations from leaders across our region. To nominate an individual, complete the nomination form linked on this webpage.
Upon submission, the nominee will automatically receive an application at the email address provided on the nomination form. To avoid delays, please be sure the nominee's email address is entered correctly before submitting the form.
Participant Requirements
To be considered for Leadership Salkehatchie, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Be nominated for the program.

Reside or be employed in one of the six Salkehatchie region counties: Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Colleton, Hampton, or Jasper.

Demonstrate a clear interest in community leadership.

Aspire to or currently occupy a professional leadership position.
