Nyree (she/her/hers) is a curator and Public History MA student from Hampton Roads, Virginia. She is committed to expanding representations of Black history in museums by creating engaging and inclusive spaces that celebrate Black culture and heritage. Her research interests include African Diasporic communities, sites of cultural memory, as well as visual and material culture.

Nyree holds a bachelor's degree in history from Oglethorpe University and has worked in several museums along the East Coast. In her most recent role as a three-year Art Bridges Curatorial fellow at the Chrysler Museum of Art (Norfolk, VA), she collaborated with local HBCUs to curate a traveling exhibition of works titled Define Yourself that explored Black identity creation through art. She also curated Beyond the Mountains, an exhibition which revisited the 1980s Merci Gonaïves series by American photographer Danny Lyon from his time in Haiti.
