Ahmed Nohassi is a Ph.D. student in Political Science at the University of South Carolina, where he also serves as a Teaching Assistant. He earned his bachelor's degree in international studies from the University of South Carolina in 2025. His research focuses on foreign policy and security in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as how organized interests, lobbying groups, and political elites shape decision-making in government. Nohassi's work bridges comparative politics, international relations, and American politics, examining the intersection of domestic interest-group dynamics and foreign policy outcomes. He is currently a Teaching assistant for POLI 201: American National Government, where he emphasizes connecting core political science concepts to current events and real-world case studies.
Outside of research and teaching, Ahmed is an avid soccer player.
