Courtney Meyer recently earned her Ph.D. in exercise science, with a focus on rehabilitation sciences, from the University of South Carolina. Her research interests include sport-related catastrophic injury and sudden death, along with the related policy and medicolegal aspects. During her doctoral studies, Courtney served as an instructor of record and as a graduate teaching and research associate in the exercise science department and Athletic Training Programs. She is passionate about fostering student development through mentorship, especially in research and career readiness, and is eager to continue this work in the Honors College.

Originally from St. Louis, Mo., Courtney looks forward to continuing her time in Columbia with her partner and their pets. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys spending time outdoors (especially hiking), reading, cooking, baking and exploring locally owned or small businesses.
