Background

Reagan Kiger Barfield, Pharm.D., BCPS, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the South Carolina College of Pharmacy Columbia campus in 2019. She completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Prisma Health-Midlands, specializing in outpatient and ambulatory care pharmacy. 

Dr. Barfield is the state-wide lead for an initiative to expand clinical pharmacy services in rural areas in South Carolina and she founded and directs the SCOR2E Network. She serves as the Residency Program Director for the Tandem Health-USC PGY1 Outpatient Pharmacy Residency Program and the Program Coordinator for the USC COP Academic Fellowship and PGY1 pharmacy residency programs with McLeod Health and Self Regional Healthcare.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time on the lake with family, trying new restaurants with friends, and traveling with her husband.
