Background

Dr. Jangwoon Park is an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering at the University of South Carolina. He received his Ph.D. from POSTECH and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI). Prior to joining USC, he was an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. His research focuses on human factors and ergonomics, including human-centered design, transportation and occupational safety, and human–technology interaction.

Research

Dr. Park’s research focuses on human factors and ergonomics, human–AI interaction, transportation safety, and human-centered engineering design. His work combines human-subject studies, physiological and behavioral sensing, data analytics, and prototype development to improve the safety, comfort, and performance of engineered systems.
