Music for the Public Good
The University of South Carolina School of Music believes in the power of music and aspires to be a national leader in modeling the joys of a musical life. We demonstrate this through our dedication to becoming a center of “Music for the Public Good.”
The joy we experience with a musical encounter or making music makes us happier, healthier, safer, more fulfilled and more hopeful. We aspire to be a national leader in helping members of our musical community to broaden their creative and intellectual horizons, develop new skills and express themselves using what they’ve learned.
