EPID 542 Global Health Epidemiology Heavy This course introduces epidemiologic concepts and methods using cases studies examining current global health challenges. Students will gain an understanding of the role of epidemiology in understanding the distribution of disease and risk factors, and developing, implementing and evaluating public health interventions globally.
EPID 749 Infectious Disease Epidemiology Heavy Focuses on selected bacterial, viral, parasitic, and fungal diseases of public health importance locally, nationally and globally. 
EPID 765/865 Reproductive and Perinatal Epidemiology Moderate Whole lecture dedicated to perinatal health in low-income countries and other lectures with information related to perinatal health indicators (e.g., preterm birth rates) in low and middle income countries.

Interventions to improve key health and development outcomes in a wide range of settings will be discussed, and ethical issues around global health work will be critically analyzed.

International Student and Global Health Forum

The International Student and Global Health Forum is a seminar series where international students describe the health system in their home country, followed by an intellectual exchange of ideas with attendees. All students and faculty are welcome to attend. Each year, the ASPH enrolls around 100 international students who have diverse backgrounds, varied experiences, and come from a variety of countries. All international students are welcome to sign up as presenters. Interested speakers are to contact Victoria Adebiyi, vadebiyi@email.sc.edu.
