Meet Our Cochlear Implant Team 
                     			
                     The USC cochlear implant team consists of three doctoral-level implant audiologists,
                        two certified auditory-verbal therapists, and a research faculty member. With over
                        25 years of implant experience, the team works closely with each other, local surgeons,
                        the cochlear implant recipient’s family, educators, and other community professionals

                                       Nicole H. Burrows, Au.D., CCC-A has been employed by the University of South Carolina
                                          Speech and Hearing Research Center since 2004 and serves on the cochlear implant team.
                                          She earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Communication Sciences and Disorders
                                          degrees from Auburn University. Burrows received her Doctorate degree in Audiology
                                          from the University of Florida in 2003. Before joining USC in 2004, she worked in

                                       Dr. Droege is currently the Cochlear Implant Team Coordinator. She graduated with
                                          honors from the University of Iowa and then completed her master's degree in Audiology
                                          at Northern Illinois University. She started her career as a clinical audiologist
                                          in early 2003. In 2011, she earned her clinical doctorate in Audiology from A.T. Still
                                          University. Dr. Droege's primary clinical and research interests focus on cochlear

                                       Gina Crosby-Quinatoa, MSP, CCC-SLP, LSLS Cert. AVT is a certified bilingual speech
                                          language pathologist. In the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at
                                          the University of South Carolina, she serves as a Listening & Spoken Language Specialist

                                       Jamy Claire Archer MS, CCC-SLP, LSLS Cert. AVT received her master’s degree from Purdue
                                             University and is a Certified Listening and Spoken Language Specialist and a Clinical
                                             Instructor at the University of South Carolina training Speech-Language Pathology
                                             students. Archer serves on the Cochlear Implant Team and coordinates patient aural

                                       Hannah Midles, Au.D. received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences
                                          and Disorders from Appalachian State University. She received her Doctorate of Audiology
                                          from East Carolina University. Hannah completed her fourth-year externship with USC

                                       Meisam Arjmandi, Ph.D. received his Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders
                                          with a specialization in Cognitive Sciences at Michigan State University. He completed
                                          postdoctoral training in Auditory Neuroscience and Clinical Audiology in the Department
                                          of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Massachusetts Eye and Ear-Harvard Medical
                                          School. Arjmandi serves on the Cochlear Implant Team and his Translational Auditory
                                          Neuroscience Lab collaborates with the team for developing improved diagnostic tools
                                          and personalized interventions and treatments for individuals with hearing impairment.
